Who is responsible for your data

HapnGo (https://hapngo.org) is operated by Leonardo Irimia, a private individual resident in Italy, working as the sole operator of the site. He is the data controller under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

You can reach him at hello@hapngo.org for any question about this policy or about your data.

A company will be registered after the first sales. Its name, registration number, VAT number and registered address will be published on this site at that time.

What data the site collects

If you sign up for the daily briefing, the site collects your email address only. No name, no other field.

Sign-up uses double opt-in: you receive an email with a confirmation link, and nothing is sent to you until you click it.
Your address is stored in a file on the site's own server, located in the European Union.
It is used for one purpose: sending the daily AI briefing.
Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link.
As proof that you consented, a hashed, non-reversible fragment derived from the IP address used at sign-up is stored alongside your address. It cannot be turned back into an IP address.
Your data is deleted when you unsubscribe, or earlier if you ask.
You must be at least 16 years old to subscribe.

Contact form

If you write through the contact form, the site collects your name, email address and message. The message is stored on the server and emailed to the operator so he can reply. It is kept for up to 24 months as a record of the correspondence, then deleted.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in answering people who write to us, and your consent in sending the message.

Server logs

The site is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd, 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus, on servers in the European Union. The host keeps standard server access logs — IP address, browser user agent, timestamp and requested URL — for security purposes, typically for up to 30 days. These logs are not used to profile visitors.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and available.

Cookies

The site sets a functional cookie called hg_lang only if you choose a language from the language switcher, and a session cookie used only by the operator when signing in to the admin area. Advertising and analytics cookies are covered on the Cookies page, together with the consent rules that apply to them.

Who else can see your data

Your data is not sold, rented or shared for marketing. It is accessible to:

Hostinger, as the hosting provider that runs the servers and mail delivery for this site;
Google, but only where its services are switched on or used — AdSense, Analytics, and Google Translate when you click "More languages (auto-translate)". This is explained on the Cookies page.

Transfers outside the EU

Site data stays in the European Union. The only transfers beyond the EU are those that happen when the Google services described on the Cookies page are enabled or used.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

access the data held about you;
have inaccurate data corrected;
have your data erased;
ask for processing to be restricted;
receive your data in a portable form;
object to processing based on legitimate interest;
withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what was lawful before you withdrew it.

Complaints

If you believe your data has been handled wrongly, please write to the operator first. You may also complain to the Italian supervisory authority — Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it — or to the supervisory authority of the country where you live.

Changes to this policy

If the site starts collecting something new, or switches on advertising or analytics, this page is updated before that happens. The date of the latest version is shown at the foot of this page.
